Inner Child Day

I hereby declare today is Inner Child Day!

Today I'm going to promise myself to not worry over things that I cannot change at this moment. I will not worry that the state may issue IOU's for state tax returns or that I owe more than I make or that ... whatever.

The goals that I am going to work on today are going to be fun! Let's play house!! Today I'm an Inn Keeper and my kids and pets are the people who are staying at the Inn... So my Inn's name is... ummmm.... Paradise Inn! (Perfect!) I'm going to make a sign to welcome my guests and I'll have to clean up the rooms so when they are ready to check in they have clean rooms.

I think I'll have to bring back my imaginary friend Max to help me keep up the Inn. He was always really good at cleaning before (yes that's the name of my imaginary friend from when I was a little girl).

So in order to take care of the Inn I have some bills to pay, some paperwork I have to get ready and mail out. I need to clean the linens too.

Now let's see, activities for the day... I think we should take a tour of the area (go for a walk) to see the sights.

For lunch we'll have a tea party. Maybe I'll even bust out my tea set. :) Or maybe I'll wash the kid's tea set and we'll use the plastic stuff. ;)

I hope it warms up so we can do more stuff outside! We had the coldest night of the year last night so it's pretty cold right now.

Oh! I'll have to make a menu for what they can order for room service.

I'll get the kids into this and hopefully they have some more ideas on what we can do.

I LOVE this!!! My therapist has been hammering away at me working more with my inner child(ren) and it's....interesting work! That's for sure. There's alot of pain, emotions, routines...all things that are STUCK back in the childhood. Airing those pains is really freeing me up. Good stuff!!
