Sugar or No Sugar that's the Problem!
Sunday, January 24, 2010
For three weeks now we have not eaten any sugar. We also started to eat more food with a low glycemic index, like steel oats, bran etc. for breakfast, rice, beans etc. for lunch and dinner, and pop corn for snacks, besides more vegetables and fruit. It has not been as hard as I had imagined: we feel less hungry because we are getting away from sugar highs, and we are feeling so much better all around.
Eating food with a low glycemic index is like putting a log of hard wood in the fire, it burns for hours, instead of paper and cardboard (refined sugar) where you have to keep on feeding and feeding the fire to keep warm unless it dies.
