Lifetime Momentum #14

Saturday, January 23, 2010

It's been a week of ups and downs. I have to say for the most part it has been ups, but the stress of being unemployed is starting to affect my wife as much as it was me a couple of weeks back. She is struggling with it and it's starting to manifest itself in physical ways (headaches, sore/tense muscles particularly in her jaw). On a positive note related to my job situation, I did get a call back to come in for a face-to-face interview at a company that I did a phone interview with last week. I am going in on this coming Wednesday and am hoping that I find favor with them.

On the fitness front, it has been a mostly good week with only a few poor choices that I can point at all week. Calories have been almost entirely in check (if not a little low in some cases). Exercise has been good most days with only two days this week that I just put in the minimal effort. I'm proud of myself for the lifestyle changes I'm making and even if I don't see the results on the scale this week, I know that what I'm doing now will have huge long term benefits.

I finally really got to start digging in and reading The Spark this week too. I am very excited by the book so far and began to realize that I haven't done everything I can on this site to maximize my experience. I did a vision collage and some goals when I first joined, but it wasn't until reading how Chris described their impact that I really caught the vision of them (particularly the vision collage). So I am re-doing my collage and spending some time rethinking and formulating my goals.

Well, that's all I have for now.

Good luck with the job interview. I am out of work too and it has been stressful. However, I am having an interview this week too, a second one to boot, so I wish us both luck.
