i did good yesterday

i managed to brush my knees off and get back up again and not let my thursday night binge affect my day yesterday. i was a bit over zealous though by deciding to step on the scale this morning and i did not enjoy that. but i am probably gaining muscle as i just have gotten back to working out for the past two weeks and have been sore everyday. i am still scared. they said at the gym that in the fitness challenge at the gym i am in the least amount that has ever been lost is 8 pounds a month....so i have 3 weeks to lose 8 pounds......aaahhhhhh. whatever. i need to put my scale away and chill the freak out!! will report later. have a great day everyone!

    Totally relate to the scale obsession. Even when working out or during that time of the month... I can't stop weighing myself! Because I have found that the curiousity haunts me if I don't weigh-in daily, I've come up with the solution of continuing to weigh myself, but only comparing numbers to the week and month before. Now I have a little chart that looks like this:

    DATE_________WEIGHT___
    _______+/- WEEK__________+/- MONTH________

    It helps to NEVER have to compare your natural fluctuation to the day before and leaves a little room for recovery from slip-ups.

    Yeah to putting the scale away, for a while anyway. Sometimes best to focus on strength, endurance and other progress indicators. Keep up the good work.

    Yeah, get rid of the scale, once a month should do!! Measure your weight lost by measuring your body. Much more instant gratification and you see IMMEDIATE results!! Do once a week about the same time of day, morning is best!! Hope you have a great weekend and an AMAZING week!!
