I quit smoking on November 1st, 2009. I knew I would gain a fair bit of weight but I don't think I quite expected it to be 30 pounds!

I am back on track now, though and am going to put in the effort to get that back off plus the final 20.

    Quitting smoking is way better for you long term than the temporary weight you gained. You've come so far, I know you'll get where you want to be. :)

    That's what I kept telling myself with every jelly bean I ate! "It's only temporary and 20 pounds now is better than a lifetime of smoking!"

    And now I have to get back in the gym and work it off :( They were really delicious jelly beans though.

    Good job on quitting smoking! That is awesome! Don't worry about the weight gain. It's only temporary and you have done a great thing for your health. You will be back on track soon!
