My butt HURTS!!!

Wednesday, January 20, 2010

Wow. I thought nothing could hurt more than my legs earlier after I ran 5.954 miles in 30 minutes. Now I did this running in place on my Wii so the numbers might be a little off, but I know I was running at a really steady pace. I want to run outside so running is such a killer workout and massive calorie incinerator. But my knees just cannot handle it whenever I run outside for some reason. Yet I have no problems when I run in place in my own house (or anywhere else for that matter). So that being said, my calves were kind of sore til I was done with that. I must have a death wish because I decided to do some SparkPeople videos as well later in the day. I did the 6 minute butt-blaster workout. OMG!! You have got to be kidding me. How can 6 minutes hurt so badly??? My butt is sore, lol. butt is WAY out of shape!! I also did the Bootcamp cardio video to add some more cardio to my day. I did this one twice, as a matter of fact. I am ready to soon crawl in a hole and hybernate for the rest of the But my proudest accomplishment today wasn't the fact I was the fact I exercised while not feeling well. I was at the ER half the night with my fiance's daughter last night. She had a really high fever (104.8) and a REALLY bad cough. Here she has advanced bronchitis. Earlier that day, I told Matt I think I might need to make a Dr. appointment for myself as I feel like I have bronchitis again and another sinus infection. I have chronic bronchitis but holy heck, this will be my third time in 4 months. I admit, I do make it worse on myself, as I still smoke. But that will be stopping here real soon. My 1 year old also went tot he Dr. today...he has a double ear infection just beginning and a cold. He woke up this morning with his one eye totally pasted shut with a lot of gunk. The Dr said this is from the cold AND his ear infections. And since both my fiance and I both smoke, this is now starting to really be an eye opener as to the effects it is having on our children's health. This is now Gage's 2nd double ear infection (3rd total ear infections) in less than a month and a half. So the smoking needs to stop. Which means I more than likely will be gaining weight now. Also my thyroid is going under some major tests, as my one Dr thinks this might be partly the issue with all the bleeding I have been experiencing lately. Plus I am so tired lately that I honestly think I could fall asleep ANYWHERE ANYTIME!! Can't wait to see the results of those tests. So, if anyone knows some healthy aids in helping to quit smoking, please let me know. I quit before by sucking on lollipops whenever I craved a cigarette. But I gained 10 pounds in the process (not just from the lollipops though). Well, I am going to end this for tonight...getting a little sleepy. Take care and keep sparkin! emoticon

Quitting isn't easy. I've done it before by smoking herbal cigarettes that contained no addictive chemicals. They are usually made with marshmallow plant, herba santa, mint leaves, mugwort, etc. After a couple of weeks of smoking those, the nicotine addiction is gone. Then you can easily quit the herbal smokes. There were days where I would forget to smoke! At that point, it's simple.

What ever method you use, I wish you the very best!
