Here's my confession

I have been slacking. I don't know what's wrong with me, I've been in a funk! The weather here has been dull,dark and cold just like my attitude. I have been feeling low in energy. Could be my diet; I've been eating lots of carbs (comfort food) and very little fruits and veggies. I haven't been taking my vitamins, iron being an important one for me as my iron is low which has major impact on energy. I've been drinking diet Pepsi, (a serious weakness for me) for "energy". On top of all of those no-no's I have only exercised a few times this whole month. To add to all of that I have just got a cold! I never get sick! Just goes to show me that this slacking off is really impacting me.

Back in November I signed up for a fundraising event called "Bust a Move" to raise money for breast cancer. There are two parts to this; the first is to reach a fundraising goal of $1000 (I'm super close, just $100 away so if you can spare a few dollars go to my link and pledge! gbling ) the second part is to do 6 exercise classes back to back in a row on Jan 30. There will be aerobics, yoga, Zumba, pilates, powerhour, and Sweatin to the Oldies with Richard Simmons!!!!! Yes he's really gonna be there! I thought the six hours of exercise would help keep me motivated but now I'm just scared. I haven't been maintaining my fitness and I'm afraid the day is going to be more of a challenge then it should be.

Here's my plan of attack. I've got just 10 days before the big event so I've set 2 goals. 1. Get at least $10 a day in donations (here's the link again in case you can help http://bustamove.kintera.org/c
gbling ) 2. Exercise for at least 1 hour each day. I need to work on a few other things too but I'm going to start with these two goals and then move forward from there.

P.S. I've been slacking on SP too and I really miss all my Spark friends and the encouragement and feedback you share with me.

    I might have well been writing this myself! Maybe it is the time of year/season...cold! I have also been eating alot of carbs, I have not gone over what spark allows me, but still have been having NO fruits and very little veggies....but I'm sure slowly we'll be back on track!

    If it makes you feel any better I'm right there with ya sweetie :{ I also have been a slacker and can't quite find the motivation to do anything about it yet..ugh. I have things planned (beach trip, weddings, half marathon) that I should be helping to motivate me, but I think I'm in the same funk.

    I think there are a few of us in the same boat at this time of year! As much as I tried to prepare myself for the season and avoid the winter blahs (by eating healthier, getting an exercise rountine down, etc), the blahs still managed to find me. Be kind to yourself! You are going to do the best you can at your fundraiser, and that is all you can ask of yourself.
