Standing in the Eye of the Storm

Tuesday, January 19, 2010

As you all know, it's been a week since Haiti experienced the devastation of the 7.0 Earthquake. My heart has been grieving ever since. This incident left me in a state of pain that I'm unable to describe. In all honesty, I haven't been focused on working out. As far as my eating habits, they're pretty decent. My mind has been elsewhere and my heart goes out to everyone who has been affected by this tragedy. I am still waiting to hear from some relatives and friends who have been missing.

There has been a series of tragedies since God knows when. Unfortunately many have lost loved ones and many people have lived through them by the Grace of God; 911, Famine in Africa, earthquakes in China, Tsunami, Hurricane Katrina, the tornado that hit GA and the excessive Flood in GA etc. Those are only a few-I know there are so much more. My prayer is that everyone will wake up and pay attention to the signs. Tomorrow is not promised. We don't know the hour or the day in which some other catastrophic event will take place.

I made a decision to stand in the eye of the storm. I will continue to encourage others daily. In all honesty, I could use encouragement as well but I know we have to learn to encourage ourselves. Hopefully, many people will choose to unite instead of allowing this division to destroy the human race. I will continue to trust God and wait on Him to do exceedingly and abundantly all the things we can imagine. He is my strength and my present Help!

Isaiah 40: 31 But those who wait for the Lord [who expect, look for, and hope in Him] shall change and renew their strength and power; they shall lift their wings and mount up [close to God] as eagles [mount up to the sun]; they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint or become tired. emoticon

I pray that the readers of this message will take a stand despite the issues or tragedies you may be facing at this very moment. If you're reading this message, know that you are blessed and you've been given an opportunity to take a Stand and make a change in your life and in the lives of others.

I'm getting back into the swing of things regarding my health and wellness mission. I may have been down for a little but I know God has a purpose and plan for my life. I had a moment (We're all entitled) but now I'm back to becoming a better me!

Philippians 4:13 I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. emoticon

God Bless and much success in all your endeavors~

God is still on the throne and we are to give thanks in all things. Thanks that more lives were not spared, thanks that there are many willing to help and go outside of their comfort zones to lend a hand. We never understand God's designs or why he allows things to happen, we just have to trust that He is and He is in control.

Grief is natural, and we are very blessed in the States. Even with our own disasters, we have so much unlike tiny little impoverished Haiti. My heart has been heavy too. In the face of disaster we will stand fast in the Lord.
