The Weekend Factor

Sunday, January 17, 2010

Weekends seem to be a bad time for me. I will work on that. I baked chocolate chip cookies - my 3 year old niece came over. Being 3 she didn't eat much, but even though I sent some home to her parents, I still ate what was in the house. I had my bag packed ready to drive 30 minutes to the gym, but stayed home instead, put in a dance cd and impact walked/jogged on the spot for 30 minutes. Then I went to town and bought one of those 10-minute solution DVD's. There are 5 different options, and it came with stretch bands. I did 2 of them tonight-arm and thighs. After the 1 one, it seemed short, so when I did the second one, I watched the clock. Yes, it was only a mere 10minutes-I can do that. Maybe i will buy another one in the future. Back to work tomorrow. I am going to aim for the gym this week. It will have to be in the morning because I have driven by a 4PM and it is a full parking lot then. Tomorrow is a chance of freezing rain, so I already changed my alarm clock and will get up and do something at home.

I think the weekends are hard for many people including me. The key is to try to find opportunities to undo some of the damage, which you have already done by exercising at home. Also, you have began mentally preparing for the upcoming week. Keep up the good work!!
