Which Do You Want First - the Good News or the Bad?

Sunday, January 17, 2010

The Bad News is that I'm just feeling kind of blue, blah, bleck. There's some conflict in my family that we just can't seem to get over and it is repetitively disheartening.

The Good News is that for years I would have sought comfort in food, but now I am committed to taking good care of my body and mind. I will not let this situation trip me up. Maybe a solution will even present itself if I'm not numb with food. Maybe.

Good for you! I understand completely I feel the same way and have some crazy family issues right now that just won't resolve itself! Pat yourself on the back for not caving into the comfort in food routine...that for sure will not fix the problems.

What progress!!!! When one can control the desire to mindlessly eat, eat. eat, that is a marvelously giant step in the right direction, I am impressed and so happy for you ---YOU ARE DOING IT.

Wow, just think of the progress you've made by not using food as an anesthetic, the kind of anesthetic that only works a few minutes and then has awful side effects, both short term and long term.

The wisdom you've garnered and the humor that bubbles up in you will get you through this and everything else "life" tosses at you, and that's a very good thing. Of this I am very confident.

I'm so sorry about your family conflict and hope that things will improve with time.

It's great that you've 'got' that bad food choices would only make you feel more blue, blah and bleck. No doubt your intensive Boot Camping will also help you to work out some of the physical tension that stress can cause and this will make you stronger for you and for your family.

You're always so upbeat in your blogs and I'm grateful that you share some of the downs as well as the ups. Thanks. You remind me that we can't always change the cards that we're given but we can decide how to play them.
