Just ate my first Mango....

Saturday, January 16, 2010

Well, 2010 is off to a good start! I am cleaning up my eating act, and just ate my first ever Mango! It took a little bit of research on the internet to figure out the best way to eat it. Since it was rather juicy, it was a little messy, but it was delicious! My next new fruit to try will by a pomegranate! (story to follow :) soon)
Yesterday, I got home from work starving like always, but quickly grabbed the other half of my grapefruit from the fridge and ate that to tide me over for dinner. Since both kids were gone to friends house, I made myself some chicken breast tenders in the oven, cook some whole grain brown rice, which by the way I'm not fond of, and some stir fry veggies, and a glass of milk for some calcium! That was all I ate for the rest of the night. I was happy when I got on the scale this morning. It is always motivating when the scale works in your favor!
Have a great day, Diane

Sounds so healthy, BD! I had a mango yesterday... but I hate to cut them up!
Pomegranates are good too... I think they good for when you need something to keep dipping your hand into the bowl and eat. Keep up the good work! I mean good eating!

Nummy! I haven't had a mango in a long time, may have to add that to the list. You can doctor up that brown rice. Sometimes if I am making a bigger batch I will add a can of tomatoes or veggies. Continued success on your journey to becoming healthy and fit. Keep it positive ~ Happy Sparking!
