VIDEO BLOG: Tough week. Open letter to myself.

This week was tough on my body and on my self esteem. I decided to write an open letter to myself that outlines my goals for this week to get back on track and to feel better. I've decided to share it with you guys so that maybe I can be accountable to you out there in Spark world and also be accountable to myself. This week will be better - I will be better. I will prove that I can do it.

    well, hell ya and good for you. Isn't just so insanely easy to beat yourself up over every little thing? Well, I'm so glad that you're not. And you not beating yourself up is motivating me to get over this funk I've been in all week and not smack myself around either!

    The only thing I have to say is, never say never (cliche I know, but so true) This isn't the only week you have to prove what you're made of...but it is the best week since it's the one you're in. And don't feel like if you're not being superwoman you're not succeeding.

    Working out twice a day is a lot to push for, heck I'm only shooting for 30 x 3 for cardio and strength training. As long as you can wake up everyday with yesterday behind you to recall not for guilt but for any lessons you might have learned, you are 100% successful!

    I'm glad your not going to feel guilty, because you shouldn't feel guilty. There are always set backs in life, but it's when you get up, dust yourself off, and move forward that you should feel something - PROUD. Even the most successful and 'perfect' people have off days/weeks/months. I hope when you wake up today and get back on the road to weight loss and healthy living you do it with a smile on your face. You have set high goals for yourself, but I believe in you! Keep going, keep pushing along, and keep smiling. It will get easier. Us the weekend to prepare for your work week and come this time next week, I am sure you will have wonderful things to report, but even if you don't spark people will be here to start again.

    I think what you've done is a great idea.

    Hearing words to yourself, from yourself somehow holds more power than thinking those same things quietly.

    It's okay to fall away a little bit, as long as you're still focused. I know that doesn't sound true, and I've just started too, so maybe I'm not the best source for advice, but it feels true.

    That being said, you are a beautiful and amazing girl, and working hard for yourself is completely allowed. We started the journey for ourselves, and it helps to remember that throughout the day.

    I really like how you talk about your life as a series of weeks, because that is true. This is just one thing you're going to do, and you can do it! Just don't be too hard on yourself! You are smart and pretty and you can do it even if you have a new job and a lot going on. But DON'T overwork yourself by working out twice a day like that. Be safe and don't push yourself to the limit so you can't keep it up the next week. emoticon
