Day 6- My pants are LOOSE!

Friday, January 15, 2010

I have this pair of jeans. They have been a bit big since I bought them (without trying them on first, of course), but I didn't take them back. I've just been wearing them with a belt. Well, yesterday, I was in a hurry and forgot my belt. I swear, I was pulling my pants up all through the store. (Not like I was really in danger of them falling down, that would be scary) They were just loose enough to get on my nerves. I brushed it off as I just forgot my belt. Then I thought, what if it's not just the belt. Hmmm... So, as soon as I got home and put my cold stuff in the freezer and fridge, I grabbed a pair of jeans out of my dresser that fit just right. Imagine my surprise when I found out that I am now going to need a belt to wear those as well! :)

I couldn't help it. I had to weigh myself. I've been careful not to do that, because I could drive myself nuts about it, but my curiosity got the better of me. So I pulled the new scale out from under my dresser where I had been stashing it. (That whole out of sight out of mind thing) Weighed myself and I am down 3 pounds.

My official weigh in isn't until Sunday morning, so I still have a couple more days, but I've very pleased, and I'm not rewarding myself with a cookie either. lol :) It does have me excited to see that all my work has been paying off, and that I can do this and will do this. So, I'm off to do my challenges for the days with a smile on my face! Jumping jacks, hurray! LOL!

Way to go. It is always nice to feel that our clothes are loosening. It shows progress when sometimes the scale doesnt. In your case you had a double win losing some pounds and looser clothes. Keep it up!!
