A PRAYER OF FAITH ¢¾
Thursday, January 14, 2010, 12:03 AM AST [General]

Oh Beloved heavenly Father
At first
When I reached out to You
The evil one tried to exert himself
Hammering at my door
Trying to hang on
To what was his no more
Though I must confess
At first I did not rely on You
And Your healing power
My heart was so feeble
There was a tug-a-war for my soul
My heart would wander precariously
It's desires would run riot
Coveting the things of this world
Often coming to you in a careless, casual manner
Than one day I awakened
Realizing there was no where else to go
In a prayer of faith
I came to You
Casting my very soul
Learning of your forgiveness
Where Christ's blood was shed for me
At the cross I threw myself
And acceptance was Your call
In awe I find myself thinking
What an awesome God you are
Me just a sinner
Standing there In a cascading waterfall
You washed me clean with your love
I sincerely and humbly come to you
Pouring out the yearnings of my soul
As Your Word became
A living breathing entity in my being
My faith became my life
You allowing me to drink freely
Showing me the boundless treasures
You have in store for me
With this hunger in my soul
I persistently petition You
As You increasingly enhance my desire
To do the things You ask
I readily and freely give my all
And in triumph My impulses of the moment
Have become a trusting, steadfast
Spiritual walk with You ¢¾

I was truly moved by this prayer. It is saying the word's that I have inside of me, but couldn't get out. I wanted to share this with other's and maybe it will inspire them as much as it has inspired me today, Thanks to all my friends here and on www.beliefnet.com From Debrinconcita in Portland Oregon USA.
