I actually feel kind of bad! EXCEPT NOT REALLY.

So, I had my order placed for The Spark with amazon.co.uk.
I just cancelled it. :(
LOL, only because I placed my order elsewhere. Amazon.co.uk's release date for The Spark is January 29, and that's in paperback. For an extra £5, I ordered a hardback copy from thebookdepository.co.uk. And it'll be dispatched in 48 hours.
Which means that I should get it two weeks before it's released by Amazon. I have no idea why there's such a difference in the release dates, but to be perfectly honest, I'm more than willing to pay the extra £5 to not only get it that bit earlier, but to get the HARDCOVER version, which will last longer.
(I'm hard on books. I flatten the spines for recipes. I read them and stroke the covers as an OCD thing when I'm reading.)
So I'm happy about that, yes. :)
I can't wait!
[EDIT]: To answer POLKAKITTY: I got my SparkPoints when I put in the initial order with Amazon. I'm actually a little sad about it, because it was a pre-order on Amazon.co.uk, but I didn't get the 1000 pre-order points, just the 500 points for ordering.
But I'm not complaining! I get SparkPoints and an awesome book... when it finally arrives. :)
