I started a liquid diet last Wednesday under the supervision of my doctor as opposed to starting the process for bariatric surgery. I did ok the couple of days I was in my office, but fell apart at home this weekend. I realize that I am a stress eater and with the new Year my supervisors are throwing all sorts of nonsense to the staff.

I feel fine for about 30 minutes after drinking my shakes but then I feel like I haven't eaten in days. I am trying my best not to think about it but everywhere I look there is food or the discussion of food. Any advice?

Anything worthwhile will always cost us something. I know it's hard...hang in there. God is with you. Sometimes we have to get through this ONE second...and that's all we can handle right now. So, you just decide that this one're following doctor's orders and you'll do it. If it gets too unbearable for you...make another appointment and find something that's more "do-able" for you. Don't condemn yourself and don't feel discouraged. Trust that God will show you what you need to do. It's gonna be okay! Even when we fall down...we're falling on the rock, Jesus. He will hold your hand and help you up...believe it! Spark on, friend, you're gonna make it! emoticon emoticon
