Shameless Reward Junkie!

Sunday, January 10, 2010

I am without a doubt a shameless reward junkie! I carry around my Weight Watcher awards: my 10% (of total body weight lost) award, my 16 week Stay and Succeed Award, my 25 Pounds Lost award, my Goal Weight Star, and my Key to Lifetime. My 50 pound lost magnet I earned in 1998 is on my refrigerator. They help remind me of where I was, what I've learned, and what I've accomplished. Motivating.

Now comes SparkPeople. Love those trophies! Love to keep those streaks going! Love to see those SparkPoints rack up! Motivating.

Without a doubt I have continued to improve my eating, strength and activity by using SparkPeople. And with this blog I achieve a new milestone that may have some significance: 10,000 SparkPoints.

Recognition for our achievements is a very important motivator. I, too, am a keeper of my awards (I have my WeightWatchers gold key that I earned 25 years ago!

Who would ever think we could be motivated by virtual rewards? But it's true.

Here's another one for you from me.
