Results of surgey

All right I will tell all.

My gallbladder had no polyps, which is good. I did have 5-10 stones that didn't bother me, but could in the future. So I may not have needed that surgery.
BUT if they didn't do that surgery I wouldn't have had a liver biopsy and they wouldn'd know the following:

I failed my liver biopsy. My autoimmune hepatitis is showing increased activity. They are going to try some more medicine and hope to get it under control with prograf. I take 200mg of imuran.

For 3.5years I took steroids with the imuran, but the side affects are not good. Hopefully the prograf will work.

I ate 12 chocolates yesterday to cope with the news, plus I did have to report to the vampires. )-:

I haven't tracked anything since the challenge was over and I really need the purple team!!

No one likes to get lousy news after a test. But without knowing the truth...we can't do a dang thing about it. Hope the meds help. And I just hope you are feeling better, Barb. Bowling...here you come.

I am glad that you had some good news. Once they get you on that table, you might as well check things out, ,, like you say, "what if???"
I will keep you in my prayers for good news, good care, good chocolates!!
I think that was definitely a Ghiradelli day!! Got to get those antioxidants in your system I always say!!

There are so many options nowadays,, back in the day wehn I worked at the hospital, if you just had your gall bladder out, it was a one month stay, a one foot long incision,,,,
as far as the statin drugs: there were none,, you have the advantage of being in this country with doctors and meds that can help you in this day and age,,,
if you still feel guilty about those candies, next time buy soem fresh strawberries and melt the chocolates, dip the fruit in the brown stuff.. yup, that is a fruit exchange, lots of vitamins!!! LOL!
    Peace, Linda emoticon emoticon
