Week One of New Lifestyle

I'm commited to doing some form of exercise every day; going to Curves after work Monday through Friday and some type of exercise at home on the weekends. I want to be able to freely and painlessly do jumping jacks. I remember when I was in my 20's and when filling sluggish at work would go to the bathroom and do 100 jumping jacks. The rest of the day at work was a breeze as I felt so renewed and energetic. I want that "high" back. I also want to loose enough weight and get healthier so I can stop taking my BP med. Nothing tastes better than "thin" feels.

Today was tough. I overslept and didn't have time to eat breakfast or make lunch to take to work. Running out the door, I grabbed a slice of Sargento's Low-Fast Cheese (50 calories). I was surprised to f ind that was enough protein to get me to lunch. For lunch, I went to Subway for one of their healthy 6" subs and a yogurt. I was totally exhausted after working today but made myself go to Curves. I survived... it was hard getting started but once I got the momento going, I started to revive. By the time I left, I was feeling pretty decent. Tonight I am praying for lots of snow! If Curves is open, I'll be there tomorrow night but it would be so nice to come home ... the trick will be to make myself do some form of exercise. Snow may not be a good idea.

2010 is a new beginning... I will survive!

Just remember to do what you can do realistically so that you won't burn yourself out. But you have a great attitude!!

Now I have NO excuse for missing Curves. As of Monday they moved to a new building right between me and work. I can't go to work or come home without driving past them.

Praise The Lord and hand me my workout shoes!!! emoticon

All in all sounds like you did great! I'm proud of you making it to Curves and taking that first step! Good job. While I'm trying to gain weight, it's still difficult to keep at it. So let's go girl!
