Snow snow, go away!

Thursday, January 07, 2010

well the snow they've been threatening us with all week has hit. We probably have 4-6 inches here and lots of drifting but it's not so bad that we can't get out. I am glad that I cancelled my grandma's eye appointment for today though. She's wheelchair bound, 93 and doesn't need to be out when it's this cold and snowy. Three of the 4 kids are gone for the night so that's cool. I can sleep in tomorrow morning. Yay!

We're going to a little birthday party tonight so we're picking up our one remaining kid and hitting subway for dinner. Don't know what i'm going to have but it's going to be WARM! Maybe a sweet onion teriyaki. There aren't many places to eat in our little town but at least subway isn't fried.

I'm feeling alot better today and did The Pit. I still have to take longer breaks than the 1 minute ones built into the workout but they're gettng shorter and fewer. i'm hoping that within the next couple of weeks, I can go through the whole workout with the modifications I've made. I won't be able to do it sans modifications until my bone is completely healed but I can tell I'm making progress. My weight is about the same (down 5 pounds from Dec 26) but my clothes are definitely looser. I feel like I have a pretty good handle on the workout part. Now I just have to get it together with the food.

good choice with Subway. I like the chicken with lots of veggies. I use yellow mustard to keep down the calories.
