First Step to a Better Me !!!

Thursday, January 07, 2010

I just watched 3 idiots and am so in love with the movie..... I laughed like a crazy person in the cinema and cried at each sad scene... I love the part when Amir Khan emphasized that FEAR CAUSES A PERSON TO LOOSE FOCUS AND FAIL IN WHAT EVER THEY DO & WHENEVER THERE IS FEAR, TRY TO COMFORT AND ENSURE YOURSELF THAT THERE IS NOTHING TO BE AFRAID… This may not be the exact thing what he said, cause I don’t understand hindi (am saying it based on the subtitle provided)…. I loved it so much and I want to apply it to myself.

When I first ventured into fitness, I had no fear of failing and due to this I never gave up and kept on going even though the waves were rough….. Now, after 6 years, I am having doubts if I can actually continue this routine if I get married (and it’s a silly thought cause currently there isn’t any wedding plans)……. With this silly thought, I am restricting myself from my workouts, I am coming up with silly excuses and etc.

I need to work on my fear… yeah… that’s the first thing I need to fix in me..

Fear is the main factor in us that actually pulls each and every one down. It comes with no warning and its us to push it away. I am trying to work on in by believing in myself and am repeating to myself to enjoy everday and not to worry bout tomorrow... hard to do but am trying...

I can relate to your blog because for me taking the first step was the hardest part. But once you establish a routine that works for you then it gets easier.

For me I exercise 5 days at week at work from 6:30a.m. to 7:00a.m. I do the treadmill for 30 minutes each day. I alternate between "fat burn" and "cardio" settings. On Monday, Wednesday, Friday its cardio, on Tuesday and Thursday, its fat burn. This routine works for me even though I have only been doing it for 3 days.

I will not be able to do it today because I didn't go to work because of the snow and road conditions. Hopefully I will be able to go in tomorrow.
