Bootcamp Day 3 & 4

Wednesday, January 06, 2010

This is stretching me. I have never really worked with a stability ball, so it is kinda fun and different. I know I am getting a workout because I can feel muscles I haven't really felt before (if that makes sense). I also like the fact that it is short and I don't have to put on special clothes or take a shower afterwards!

My knee is doing better. I iced it Monday afternoon and put on a heating pad Monday night. It was a little sore yesterday, but today it seems pretty much back to normal. I am going to still be careful with it though.

Don't give up, I've taken a little ibuprofen to help with aches of "new muscles." I find getting a good cardio and stretching really helps too. How is your calorie intake going? Sometimes when we try new workouts we are tempted to eat more and defeat some of our success. I pray you are making good choices in all healthy lifestyle areas.

I definitely know what you mean about feeling muscles you didn't know you had. That's when I know I've had a good workout. Doing a plank on a stability ball is quite the challenge, isn't it?

So, glad you are enjoying the bootcamp and that your knee is better! I think it's great that Coach Nicole has those short workouts that really do challenge you. And they really work cause you get results (and pain). =) Keep going sounds like you are doing great!
