Okay, so this is my first blog. I don't create New Years Resolutions because I believe you grow and create goals throughout the year. But if I were to come up with a goal for the beginning of this year it would be to give myself more "me" time. I am very busy with my job, church, and other things and I never allow myself time to focus on me. For example, just writing a blog right now is giving myself some "me" time.
I have lost approx. 10 pounds since October2009 and I am looking to hit a goal of 140 this year. I don't want to be super skinny because I love my curves (butt, hips, etc) and my husband also loves them. I just have to be tone, firm, and look good in my clothes again.
As I tell others, it will take one day at a time and no fad diets or quick fix solutions. I am eating foods that I like but in moderation while also incorporating fruits and vegetables daily in my diet. My husband and I just bought some Salad Master pots/pans and this will be motivation for me to learn how to cook great dishes instead of going out to eat all the time (this is the main reason why I believe I gain weight).
So now I have a head start of 10 pounds down, about 30 more to go and motivated to fulfill this goal. :)
