I am so inspired by your video blog :) I have been on Weight Watchers before, and I honestly thing that SparkPeople is more helpful/useful... but I also know that different things work for different people. Just keep coming here, even if you have a bad day, and embrace this journey for all that it is :) I'm cheering for you, and if you ever want to talk, feel free to let me know! -Nicole 3117 days ago
just keep coming here, checking in daily - it will help you stay focused on your goals. i've been on spark for a long time, but am refocusing my efforts here in the new year. i consider this time a "built-in motivation" time, really. a lot of people roll their eyes about new year's resolutions and how quickly they are dropped - i'm riding on momentum to give me a jump start and so far it's paying off! i've walked everyday since the 1st (and track it with spark's awesome mapping tool that tells you how far you've walked/run!), i'm tracking my food here on spark, and i'm reading my spark emails and reaching out to people. community, i am finding REALLY helps with the support! glad i came across you on here! keep going!
Hey!!!! I am coming back too! I know how hard it is to try and try and try...something always seems to get in the way. But importantly you are back:) Me too! I know you can do this....me too! I will be looking for your encouragement too! 3119 days ago
You kept saying "hopefully i will keep on it" etc... the right response is "I WILL do it this time!" You can totally do this!!! I have faith in you! :)
I was 370 on feb 27, 2009 and a few weeks ago weighed 299.. i now weigh 308..damn holidays lol But i will lose it again and then some! This is gonna be OUR year! Just think if you "only" lose 2lbs a week(which is totally doable for you), you will be almost under 300 this time next year!!
Hello there. It's encouraging to see and hear your posting. I believe you can make a wonderful change and hope that you will spend some time to choose one goal. It may be to increase your water intake or walk each day for 20 to 30 minutes. If you are like me an all or nothing approach is a killer. It will take time and we will all be here.
Blimey, look at all these people that have already commented. Just wanted to add my two pence worth- you can totally do this. Just cause it's free doesn't make Spark any less good than WW or Slimming World- I don't have the money for them either, and I don't think I'd get on with them too well, but Spark has helped me lose 70lbs so far. Best of luck to you 3120 days ago
You can do this using SparkPeople's guidelines!! Just stick with it and if you have a bad day, turn it right around! And yes, baby steps is the way to start out! Do what you can do and keep stepping it up a little at a time!! YOU CAN DO IT!!!!! Best wishes!! Cindy 3120 days ago
The great thing about the Spark plan is that it's multifaceted - diet, exercise, sleep, water, support, teams, reports... So many tools that you can use to help you. There's a lot on the site, so take your time and get to know a section at a time - starting with the Nutrition Tracker!
Join teams - there will be some for your weight and health issues. Make friends, and get exercise: even working out indoors is a start. I have read blogs from very overweight people, though, who have found that going to the pool wasn't as bad as they thought it would be...
Good luck - I wish you every success with your journey through 2010! 3120 days ago
