wow a new year already~where did 2009 go? I found a couple little blurb articles in a womans day mag that I liked and made sense.
1. Pat yourself on the back!
for all the things you accomplished in '09. Even the small stuff adds up.Make a list of all the healthy habits, smart choices and everything else you did right during the year. We tend to only remember the things we did wrong;seeing all your achievements_however small-in print helps ignite the self-confidence you need to make 2010 an even bigger success! I liked that a lot as positive reinforcement works so much better then the negative.
2. Dodge stress with this resolution!
Instead of new year resolutions make monthly ones. research shows three to four weeks is all the time you need to make a habit automatic. and once you have reached that short term goal you will have enough motivation to get through one more month-then another!
I planned my goals for the year, but broke them down into monthly incriments. I want to lose at least 40 more lbs in 2010, about 2# a month ( more would be good). I know the past 2 years have sunk into my head as I find myself eating healthier without even thinking about it now. I also plan to be better at my spark logging and stuff, been slacking lately~mostly just run out of time. Have a great day~week~month and year!!!
