New Year, New Me NOT

Tuesday, December 29, 2009

Well another is has passed and I am still the same weight as I was when I started on this site. I have yet to learn portion size or what is best. It is so hard when you live alone to actually sit down and figure out what I should be eating. It is just easier to go out. emoticon

I bought myself a wii and wii fit and I am hoping to do this more than once or twice like all the other videos. I don't even want to know how much I have wasted on those.

With a new year I want a new attitude. I pray that with God's help and the help on this site I can be a New me this time next year.

I KNOW HOW YOU FEEL. ONE THING I DID IS DOWN SIZE MY PLATES THAT I USE. I EAT OFF SALAD PLATES. THEY COME CLOSER TO HOLDING THE RIGHT SIZE PORTIONS SO THE PLATE IS FULL AND THEN WE DON'T FEEL LIKE WE AREN'T GETTING MUCH TO EAT. THE HARDEST PART IS THAT STORES DON'T SELL THINGS IN SIZES FOR JUST ONE PERSON SO WE HAVE TO LEARN HOW TO TAKE CARE OF OUR LEFT OVERS SO WE WILL WANT TO EAT THEM LATER. HANG IN THERE IT IS WORTH THE WORK BUT I KNOW IT DOESN'T HAPPEN QUICKLY, I'M STILL HANGING IN. GOD BLESS KAREN

What about cooking once and freezing meals into proper portion sizes, then it will be easy to pop one into the microwave instead of going out to eat. I do that with stir fry and pasta, etc. I have to measure out the portions, though, because that is my downfall!
I have the same problem with all my exercise dvd's. I'm going to try getting them all back out and MAKING myself do a different one each day. At least it sounds good in my head! lol
