So it look like I'm going to spend the day nursing a hurting foot. I can barely walk on it. Don't ask me what I did to it because I couldn't tell you. I walk on concrete at work and since my new responsibilities at work, I spend a lot more time walking. Being the overweight girl I am, my feet apparently roll. This is causing problems with my left foot, and I've noticed its hurting more and more everyday. I'm pretty sure its a tendon/ligament issue and possibly a muscle issue. When I sit and stay off of it and then get up to walk to the bathroom or where ever, it is really tight and hurts. Then it loosens up and it feels better. I did a LOT of jumping doing a cardio tape last night and I think I doomed myself. Soooo, I will probably spend the rest of my vacation NOT working out and resting my foot. Come on little foot get better!!! I have a library of new workout DVDs and I'm very antsy to do them! I'm hoping losing some weight will help this and that I WONT have to go to the doctor. My insurance just changed and it would just be too expensive to go. Ugh...

On a lighter note, I haven't gained any holiday weight, so thats exciting. I'm also noticing that I'm NOT getting enough calories. I've been around 1000 calories every day. I'm trying to eat more, maybe I'm worried I'll go over? I dont know what my deal is. I eat when I'm hungry until I'm full, so maybe I just need to pick some higher calorie food....

Alright, I've taken a ton of pictures the last couple of days. Some from the plane, some of the food we've been eating, and some of our purchases last night.

Incase you are looking Kmart, Walmart, and Target have fitness DVD's on sale. We bought them all from $7.50-$9 a piece. This includes Jillian Michaels DVDs, Biggest Loser, and all different kinds.

Oh and this morning, as you all know is the launch day for the Spark book. Well I preordered and got to spin a prize wheel. I won a $5 gift certificate to the Spark store. Yay!!!

On with the pictures! I'll be relaxing wishing I could work out =[

Shout out to my WTTS Hot to Trot Cuties!! Lets go ladies!!

Have a great day Spark =]

Okie dokie, I'm not a doctor, but I am a certified yoga instructor with a couple years of Anatomy and Physiology and Exercise Kinseology classes. I also have had two knee surgeries and spent a year dealing with some foot/ankle issues. So, all that to say, I have been there done that. If you want to try some treatment at home before you decide whether you need to see a doctor or not, here are a couple things that may be helpful.
    1. Ice. Fill a small bucket with lots of ice and then add water so that you can immerse your foot and ankle. Yep, it is cold, yep it does work faster than just applying ice.

    2. Fill a used water bottle with tap water and freeze it. Use this frozen bottle as a rolling massager under your foot when you are sitting. Just roll it back and forth through the arch of your foot.

    3. When you are standing, always have shoes on. Good shoes. Not sandals, not flip flops, not slippers.

    4. Get a good pair of inserts for your shoes with a good arch support. Get two pair. One for your workout shoes and one pair for your work shoes.

These are just some things that have worked for me and my clients in the past. Maybe they will work for you in helping to alleviate your pain and discomfort. There are also some great stretches and exercises that your doctor or orthopedic could recommend for you.

    Be blessed and Be well!

    Hi,

I had the same kind of foot pain, I think. I thought I had gout or something. I didn't.

I'm not a doctor but this happened to me.

You might have a condition called plantar fascitis. You can look it up to see what causes it as I don't remember. I think it had something to do with having flat feet.

But I remember what fixed it. New shoes. Better shoes. Also, there are insoles you can buy called Superfeet. Most sporting goods stores have them.

So you may not need a trip to the doctor. Just the price of better shoes or Superfeet insoles.

Good luck and I hope your foot gets better soon.

    Peace!

Aww, Monica sorry to hear about your foot. Allyn dealt with major foot issues last challenge.
About that 100 calorie deficit in what you're getting... if you're losing weight and you feel good I wouldn't worry about it. The tracker is just estimates anyway. If you stop losing, then you may not be getting enough. If you're getting 3-5 veggies, 2 fruits, some grain and 2 protein servings and some dairy (or equivalent); then I wouldn't worry. Considering what I see for your fruit and veggie servings on your plate, I don't think it's a problem.
