Reflecting on 2009

Monday, December 28, 2009

What complicated times we live in! I am trying to hone down into one or two paragraphs the most important things to reflect upon from 2009, and I have come to the conclusion that I can't do that. So I'll reflect, basically, on that.

I have a major fault: I take on too much. This is not an unusual problem. And, it isn't really a problem unless I can't finish what I take on, or if what I'm doing isn't done to the best outcome because I'm so busy.

It would be helpful for 2010, I think, to keep myself less burdened and more focused. Maybe this means fewer Spark Teams. Maybe this means delegating more of what I do. Maybe it even means being more realistic about what I can really achieve.

This past year I rarely got enough sleep. So, goal #1: sleep.

This past year I lost very little weight. Goal #2: lose some weight, but keep the expectation realistic. Maybe 10 pounds.

I see a trend developing. So, my major goals, for now, are to simplify and to pursue realistic goals.

Welcome 2010!

I know how you feel. I am hoping to make more time for working out in 2010. Today in age, people keep themselves so busy that they don't take time to really sit down and enjoy the things around them. Everyone is always on the go.
    Time is ticking
Best wishes to you in 2010! emoticon

I too am thinking about 'how can I simplify my life?'

Too many plans makes things too complicated for me.

Thanks for the food for thought.
