It's Boxing Day and I'm pleased to report that I'm feeling great this morning!
I stepped on the scale and discovered that I haven't gained any weight! I'm quite surprised because I had decided to just relax and not stress myself out about staying 100% on track during Christmas. Instead I enjoyed small portions of my favourite foods and made an effort to only eat during mealtimes or snacktimes. I think that saved me from grazing on the goodies all day!
I haven't worked out this week but still my relaxed approach worked! I had actually expected to gain a couple of pounds, but that didn't happen. Now I'm back to the plan and can focus on improving my fitness in 2010.
I am so grateful for the friendship and support of everyone on this site. Without all of you I would still be struggling with my weight feeling ashamed and alone. Instead I'm filled with a sense of belonging. I am proud of what I have accomplished so far and I am sure that I will keep advancing along the path to good health.
