Moving In The Direction Of My Greatest Dreams, Defeat Is NOT An Option!

Saturday, December 26, 2009

First off, I'll start off by confessing that I had ice cream yesterday. Yes, I admit I succumbed to temptation. However, I realize, after reading a dear Spark friend's blog this week, I AM NOT PERFECT. So am I letting this get me down? No! Am I staying serious and keeping it real? Most definitely, without a doubt!

Here's what I've done, I hoped on here this morning and started Sparking. While checking my email I came across a new challenge. It's a Spark Team called Spark Your Body Bootcamp. Well I decided that I need to get with the program and I joined the team! I am know that it will be a challenge but I also know that it's definitely what I need on this journey!

After logging my extreme dessert consumption yesterday, I went in the kitchen and started cleaning the dishes. I started thinking about eating healthier, not only for me, but for my family as well. I decided that part of my New Year's Resolution will be to make healthier food choices not only for myself but for my family as well (DH consummed some of his own ice cream). We need to eat healthy and move more so we that we can really be a family as well as set a good example for our pre-schooler.

So I encourage you all to start today and make healthy changes, cut yourself some slack if you make some mistakes along the way. We are all human and not without flaws-i.e. NOT PERFECT. Start off each day striving to BE & DO the best you can BE & DO! That's all you can ask for. And remember you are definitely worth it!

WE CAN DO THIS! emoticon

It is all a matter of Baby Steps my friend. As a baby learning to walk, when it stumbles and falls it gets right back up again and trys again. emoticon emoticon

I think that your attitude is great. I have been struggling for some time now to lose weight. I finally decided that I would get back on track tomorrow. I know that I could do it today however I view today as the preparation day. I've been setting up my goals for the next year and also some short term goals. I've also been trying to think of ways to combat my nightly eating's, my binges and my failure to exercise on a consistent basis. I think that I have a plan. I'm just going to go back to what worked at the beginning of 2009. I would wish you good luck but truthfully I don't think that losing weight has anything to do with good luck instead it is a lot of hard work. Instead I will wish you a year of happiness, health and many days when you feel that you can take on the world!
