I'm on a LIVET not a Diet

As of today, I declare I'm no longer on a diet. Instead I'll be on a LIVET. I will be eating in a healthy manner that supports my overall health and well being. Diets are done, I'm now going to LIVET.

My tip is to get out of the diet mentality. Take a moment and look at what the idea, the thought of and the word DIET means to you. Explore it and decide are you on a diet or on an eating plan that supports your life? I've been evaluating the word for while, dealing with people's comments "Are you still dieting?" (People can be so tacky. ) Now I can say "No I'm no longer dieting and I've never been on a diet, I'm eating a LIVET plan, one that is healthy for me. It might be healthy for you but that's for you to decide, I just learning what is healthy and what is healthy for me."

Eating foods that are nutritional work horse is my LIVET plan. I'm learning more about myself and it's not the food plan alone but the support, sense of community and learning from everyone at Spark. It's just helping me realize that healthy eating is not some plan we follow but the choices we make each and every day. I choose to do Livet as my food plan and make choices that support my health.

If you're wondering what the LIVET plan is, it's eating in a manner that regains your health, your vitality and changing your food behavior. LIVET is eating to be healthy, eating to support life.

    I now consider it 'dieting' when I am being concious about the amount of food I eat, as well as the type of food I eat, but it really is about a change of *lifestyle*. Cause I do not succeed well if I am into counting calories etc. I do best just being aware and eating healthy food. I lived MANY years that way, and never ever considered it a diet. Just my way of life, andat that time I stayed naturally thin. Later when I gained weight on anti-depressants - and started 'formal' dieting - that is when I started having binge issues. So, I do not think 'formal dieting' works.

    LiveT is the right idea. Great sdvice. Thanks for commenting on my blog. My husband left the tip. I like to also start at 20%. Lance is not quite as generous. The restaurant was slow but he forgot our chips and 1 other thing. He was very slow and on top of that he was rude with is comment. I don't know what Lance left him but waiters get $2.13/hr. in New Mexico plus tips. I would never act like he did, to anyone. My work ethic is totally different than I see these days and I am 54. I never thought I would feel this old that I would say "these days!" Sherry

    I am going on a LIVET too! What unusual way to say it but really who wants to diet off and on forever? I just want to make a change and live that way from now on!
