On holiday no gym - use initiative

Well I'm finally here. On holiday in a very beautiful part of our county. Weather is temperate, scenery is satisfying and I am starting to relax after a very stressful year. Am having to be creative about ways to keep up my fitness regieme as I am so tuned to my regular gym visits for strength training and cardio. However I am enjoying early morning runs through unknown places. Seem to make unexpected discoveries about the places I come across. Am using the sparkpeople videos for strength training ideas without equipment and I now have no excuse for not keeping to daily push ups to get to the 100 push ups goal.
I am glad to say that after nearly a year on SP I am so used to commiting to choose healthy food over poorer choices, that finding ways to keep to a good eating routine has not been hard. Where we are at the moment, we will enjoy local wild salmon and fresh berries and superb wines (of which I only have a little). Don't want to sound pious but I am just grateful that I am in such a different place than I was this time last year. I am having a fantastic journey.
Best Christmas wishes to the Spark People Community and all the people who have responded to any blogs and posts I have put on. I now have time to send individual messages to my spark friends and some goodies and will enjoy doing so over the next few days.
