Lowering my expectations...

So here I am on this great motivating, butt-kicking team, going great guns on a two-week challenge, and now I have to lower my calorie-burn expectations!!

That fall I took a couple of weeks ago? Well, I thought it was all better, but I think I've really hurt my tail bone... I sat on the floor yesterday to do crunches and IT HURT!!! emoticon
I can do the crunches fine, but things like squats (anything that tightens your glutes I guess) really hurt. As a result I don't get the calorie burn I'm used to with Curves... Today it was quite a bit lower... and I'm in some pain, so it makes sense.

Anyway, I'm going to keep at it, but I am lowering my weekly exercise expectations by 300 cal. to 2700 cal. burned/week. It's NOT a cop out! I'm one of these people who pushes themselves like crazy to meet a goal (I know a few other people like this... Joni!)... I do not want to overdo it and cause it not to get better, or worse... fall again!

Also, I was cooking for Christmas today... honey-roasted almonds for my family. Of course another temptation I gave in to!! emoticon Ate way too many of them and now I can only have salad for supper!! As Amy says, at least it was almonds and not 10 lb of fudge!! emoticon

    Listen to your body. The almonds sound good, and that is better than fudge. Just take it easy for a few days and then get back in the swing of things.

    GIRL- I know this isnt a cop out!! YOU ARE a HARD WORKIN ATHLETE!!! YOU ROCK! take it easy or you'll be "out" next month! (AND I NEED YOU!!!)

    Get better soon- and dont beat yourself up about the nuts! I think I may indulge in some goodies maybe Christmas day? I better go on a run in the AM before the kiddos wake up! :)

    Take care of yourself and get beter as soon as you can. Don't lower you expectations at all though - just put them on hold while you heal.

    Though fudge does sound pretty yummy right now. LOL
    Hope you pain goes away soon and you feel better. Take it easy and just do what exercise you can.

    Maybe you should see a doctor. I'd hate for it to get worse. I'm so sorry for you. I guess you can still do cardio though?
