In Search of My Determination...

Sunday, December 20, 2009

I have felt many things lately but I feel as though my detemination is a little MIA. I suppose it will reappear eventually. I just read some of these blogs and am envious of the determination I am reading.

I need to get back to the basics. I feel like I'm way off track. At least I did snow shoveling 2 days in a row. And I did get my workout in last Wednesday. Now I just need to keep my momentum. NEVER GIVE UP! I will do this. One baby step at a time. Even if it's 1/2 lb at a time. I need to get back in shape & eat healthier. I know I'm worth the effort. I just need to MAKE the effort!

You will do this. Like you said "NEVER GIVE UP".. That is the biggest rule to follow on your path to success.
You're looking at your life and your habits so you're on the right road. I know you'll get that determination and you'll be getting healthier every day.

I don't think your determination is missing I think you are exhausted from the snow shoveling and all of the recent stress in your life. You have not gone off track, therefore I think your brain is just taking a much needed rest. You are doing fine, you are on autopilot. Your body knows what to do. emoticon emoticon

You are doing it honey! One day at a time, one pound at a time, one baby step at a time. I am right here doing it with you as are so many of our team sisters (& brothers!) Be blessed and be well my friend. You probably burned all sorts of calories shoveling snow! Love ya, Dawn emoticon

Each day is a new day and you have each day to make better choices. I felt I stepped back more than I should have yesterday, but today was a new day. I stepped right back on track, ate right and exercised. One day at a time and small steps will make for a life time of significant change!

"At least" you shoveled snow? That's a major undertaking in my book. It's a major cardio event. I know it's not something you want to have to do but since you live back east it kind of happens. Sounds like a lot of the eastern states got hit this time. I would like a little bit of a white Christmas but I don't think it's going to happen here.

Yes you will do this. If all else fails in your determination, think of your daughter and do it for her. She wants to know you for a long time and to be able to pick up the phone and call you when she's grown up and out on her own. Even if she doesn't know it yet, she will want that opportunity.
