Don't panic -- track! I knew I had overeatten on Monday eve. Because I tracked I knew it was about 700 calories over and I would have about 1/4 pound to lose. But Tuesday morning I was up more than 3 pounds. I figured it was sodium. Wasn't too worried. But Wednesday morning I was still up over 3 pounds and I'd done so well on Tuesday. Hmmm. I felt persecuted -- like I was being punished for something I hadn't done or more like being punished excessively for a minor infraction.
Well, this morning there it was - 132.4, only 6 tenths of a pound over what I was Monday morning. Don't panic. Just keep on keeping on. Eventually the scale will reward your effort. Okay now. If I stay at the low end of my calorie range or just under, that 6 tenths will be gone in no time!
