ARNICA SOOTHES PAIN!

ARNICA WAS THE NATIVE AMERICANS' SECRET WEAPON AGAINST JOINT AND MUSCLE ACHES, AND NOW SCIENTISTS HAVE DISCOVERED WHY: THE HERB BLOCKS INFLAMMATION AND CONTAINS THE NATURAL PAIN RELIEVER CAFFEOYLQUINIC ACID. A NEW BRITISH STUDY FOUND IT EVEN REDUCES PAIN AND STIFFNESS FROM CARPAL TUNNEL SYNDROME! AND BECAUSE IT BOOSTS CIRCULATION TO INJURED TISSUES, IT HELPS BUMPS AND BRUISES HEAL FASTER. IT'S SOLD AS A TOPICAL GEL OR CREAM; JUST RUB INTO BRUISES OR SORE SPOTS FOR QUICK RELIEF.

BLACK COHOSH BALANCES HORMONES!

A RECENT STUDY FOUND THAT BLACK COHOSH EASES MENOPAUSAL SYMPTOMS LIKE HOT FLASHES, NIGHT SWEATS AND EVEN VAGINAL DRYNESS AS EFFECTIVELY AS PRESCRIPTION HORMONE REPLACEMENT THERAPY, BUT WITHOUT THE SIDE EFFECTS! OTHER RESEARCH SHOWS IT RELIEVES PMS-RELATED SYMPTOMS LIKE IRRITABILITY AND MENSTRUAL CRAMPS WHICH IS WHY THE ALGONQUINS NAMED THE HERB"CRAMP BARK"! CREDIT GOES TO ITS FUKINOLIC ACID, WHICH MIMICS ESTROGEN IN THE BODY AND BALANCES HORMONES.

DID YOU KNOW? A BRAND-NEW STUDY FOUND BLACK COHOSH CAN SLASH YOUR RISK OF BREAST CANCER BY MORE THAN 60%

EASE JOINT PAIN!

GRAPES THE RED AND PURPLE VARIETIES OF GRAPES ARE PACKED WITH QUERCETIN AND ANTHOCYANINS, TWO ANTIOZIDANTS THAT FIGHT INFLAMMATION, PLUS, THE SKIN OF THE GRAPE IS LOADED WITH RESVERATROL, AND FLAVONOID THAT BLOCKS PAIN IN A WAY SIMILAR TO OTC DRUGS. AND NOW A STUDY HAS FOUND RESVERATROL MAY BE ABLE TO PREVENT AND EVEN REVERSE CARTILAGE DAMAGE! FOR THE BENEFIT, JUST POP A HANDFUL OF RED GRAPES DAILY, DRINK SOME GRAPE JUICE OR THE PREFERRED PROVENCAL METHOD- HAVE A GLASS OF RED WINE.

STAVE OFF STRESS!

LAVENDER PROVENCE IS FAMOUS FOR ITS LAVENDER, AND LOCALS USE THE FLOWERS FOR EVERYTHING FROM AROMATHERAPY TO TEA. AND WITH GOOD REASON: RESEARCH SHOWS THE HERB HAS CHEMICALS THAT CALM THE NERVOUS SYSTEM,"SLOWING DOWN THE FIRING OF ELECTRICAL SIGNALS IN THE BRAIN" SAYS SUSAN SHIELDS, R.N. THE EFFECT CAN BE OBTAINED IN MANY WAYS: TRY PUTTING LAVENDER OIL IN YOUR BATH OR ON YOUR PILLOW, DRINK SOME LAVENDER OIL IN YOUR BATH OR ON YOUR PILLOW, DRINK SOME LAVENDER TEA, OR FOLLOW THE FOLKS OF PROVENCE AND ADD THE DRIED FLOWERS TO BAKED GOODS AND EVEN ICE CREAM!

DETOXIFY YOUR BODY!

GARLIC GARLIC'S SULFUR AND ALLICIN REMOVE TOXINS AND POLLUTANTS FROM THE LIVER, AND ONE STUDY FOUND GARLIC CAN BIND TO MERCURY IN THE BODY AND SWEEP IT RIGHT OUT OF THE SYSTEM! RESEARCHERS HAVE ALSO FOUND THAT ITS ABILITY TO KILL GERMS AND BACTERIA ON CONTACT MAKE IT AS POWERFUL AN ANTIBIOTIC AS PENICILLIN, BUT WITHOUT ANY SIDE EFFECTS OR DAMAGE TO THE "GOOD" BACTERIA IN YOUR SYSTEM.

DID YOU KNOW? GARLIC'S GERM BUSTING POWERS WERE DISCOVERED IN THE PROVENCAL CITY OF MARSEILLES, WHEN FOLK NOTICED THAT THE BIGGEST GARLIC EATERS WERE THE ONES WHO MANAGED TO AVOID THE PLAGUE!

PREVENT HEART DISEASE!

CHERVIL WITH A TASTE AND LOOK SIMILAR TO PARSLEY, CHERVIL OFTEN INCLUDED IN THE PROVENCAL HERB MIX HERBS DE PROVENCE IS LOADED WITH BIO FLAVONOIDS THAT STRENGTHEN CAPILLARIES AND LOWER BLOOD PRESSURE AND CHOLESTEROL. "SCIENTISTS ARE LEARNING THAT CHERVIL CAN STOP PLATELETS FROM STICKING," PREVENTING STROKES AND HEART ATTACKS THE SAME WAY ASPIRIN DOES. USE IT TO SEASON SOUPS AND SALADS.

Thanks so much dear one for this informative post...I use alot of what you have listed. I love lavender under my mattress pad...I use the fresh lavender and change it out every so often. I'm a BIG garlic fan, and use Herbs de Provence in my cooking. I found it in France when we visited years back and I love it..both the lavender and the Herbs de Provence. I've always used arnica as a cream for aches and pains and really the only thing I haven't tried is Black Cohash..so that's a good thing to know about. Vino is a beautiful glass of wine on some special evenings with a nice meal. My fav is a Pino Noir..yummy!

Thanks for the blog...very, very good my sweet friend! emoticon emoticon

I knew that about Grapes. My dad had Gout. And I had a touch of it in (of all places) a TOE! lol. I always associated Gout with drinking cuz my dad and all others I knew that had gout drank, excessively. But it isnt true. Gout is a form of arthritis and it has to do with circulation of the joints. I wish i could use lavender but that is one flower i am allergic too. Another 'aromatherapy" is Jasmine. I would sniff Jasmine oil and head seizures off sometimes. It has been documented to work! I think this should go on Blogs on team! Very good.
