Esther Roll...

Wednesday, December 16, 2009

I was watching the stand up comedian Wanda Sykes the other day and she had me in stitches when she made a joke about the pooch that we women can't seem to get rid of. Did anyone see this. She named the pooch ESTHER ROLL!!. She was talking about it like it was a live person or something. She said how when she puts on a gurdle when she goes out and somehow Esther finds a way to embarrass her around people because the gurdle would start to roll down because Esther wants to make an appearance for no damn reason. I found this so funny because it's true. Why is it that this is the hardest thing to get rid of. I hate it. I have to really do some serious sit ups, crunches or something because Esther is not very flattering in certain clothes.

I need to hear something from my Spark friends. Do you have any tips, ways to camouflage or something please because Esther is getting on my nerves. !!

Dreamnscheme- you are so right. The more you slim down the more noticeable she is. Why don't she leave with the rest of the fat.

Hi Monique...I seen this show and thought it was funny but so true. I have learn to contain this issue I wouldn't completely say hide it because I am aware that it is still there.

I have been trying to train my abs lately but I don't see any improvement. I don't really girdle but I have a wide collections of shapewear which in most cases smooth the rolls so they are not as noticeable with more comfort than a girdle.

Ugh... I hate esther roll! As far as clothes I've gotten pretty good at hiding it. It's all about the right fit of pants... high enough and just the right tightness to hold it in with out bulging it in different areas, but shirt length is key. Fitted on the top but long enough to go over and loose enough to not cling. It's FRUSTRATING! The worst part is that when I slim down it seems to get MORE obvious instead of less! Women, we have it rough!

Hey Monique...I know what you mean; Esther Roll is something else. I try to hid her with larger tops sometimes. I must admit she looks better since I lost weight.
