Day 1 of "18" Day Challenge..not off to a great start

Monday, December 14, 2009

I am starting the 20 day challenge late, so it is my 18 day challenge!

I'm still mad sore from kickboxing on Sat but made it to the gym for 45 min of some light cardio (treadmill climb 3-8%), just to keep limber.

HOWEVER...work party so I ate a lot of sweets...prob did better (translation: ate less) than I have in the past, and it made me more motivated to get to the gym. I didn't have a sugar crash like I normally would after indulging, which is good. I ate light/low carb all day bc I knew I'd be indulging. It was a late lunch so I wasn't hungry for dinner, but had some fresh fruit salad anyway, so I wouldn't go too long w/o eating and be ravenous. Then went I went to see my parents I ended up in the freezer eating choc marshmallow ice cream :-/ bc I was hungry then. I usually make bad choices at their house. I'm gonna not beat myself up over it....I have been maintaining/losing wt depending on the day. Tmrw is a new day in which I plan on NOT EATING THE PARTY LEFTOVERS and making it to the gym for sure!

I liked your idea of the 18 day challenge so that is what I decided to do too!

    I love kickboxing!

Work parties are fun, but not all the food choices. Wouldn't it be nice if they had mostly healthy food with a few treats?

I always find it hard to eat well at my parents house... so many treats are around! Don't worry too much about today since tomorrow you can start again with your healthy habits. I to have noticed that now when I overdo it I don't do anywhere close to the damage I used to, so that is progress! Some of my sort of "bad" days now I would have considered almost "good" eating days at one point! crazy how we grow and learn
