Too many parties... Too many calories... Too much dancing... NOW I PAY!

Monday, December 14, 2009

Well, last Tuesday there was a choir party... so no dancing there, or booze, but I ate a little too much... not a huge amount though... so that wasn't too bad.

Now Thursday? I had a dinner party at our place with three of our friends. Did well there too... Chicken, eggplant parmesan and pasta (I had a half-cup of rice), but there were also crackers and cheese. And my downfall... one of my friends brought ice cream, emoticon which many of you know I can't resist. So I didn't, and I was over again, by more this time.

Saturday, the big party of the year... Hubby's office party, and no calorie counting! I must've eaten a ton... peanuts and chocolate. The dinner was prime rib, ribs and Chinese food - It wasn't a ton of each one - more like buffet servings... but all together! And of course 5 big glasses of wine!

Here are some photos...
Here's me and DH ...

Now, that dress is 15 years old at least...It's a bit big in the top now, but it was too small 2 years ago.

Here's my new boots that I bought last week...

Aren't they awesome?

Now the tough part... of course, I LOVE to dance, and it isn't dancing if you aren't flailing all around the dance floor!! And don't forget my terrible balance and "stupid walk." Add in 5 BIG glasses of wine and you have a recipe for disaster!!

I fell of course... right on my butt, in that short skirt... At least I was wearing underwear
emoticon I REALLY hurt my back!! and I got a huge bruise and a scrape on my elbow. And I was so disappointed with myself... This might sound silly, but I have so much energy now, and I was having so much fun - then my stupid balance has to interfere!! I feel betrayed by my stupid body!!

Now the true payment... Weighed this morning... ashamed to see 136!! I haven't been that high in more than 6 months!! I can't believe it's all sodium... it's been 2 days! So I am eating between 1200 and 1600 for a bit to see what happens. I have no more "cheat meals" till Christmas.

Couldn't exercise yesterday, but I did Curves today. It hurt, but I had to do it. I don't recover quickly from muscle pulls, bruises etc. anymore and it'll be at least a week. Well, I can't go that long without exercise. So....suck it up!! You play - you pay!!

I'd love to see the scale say 136! Your boots are really nice and it's great that you can fit into your dress again. I'm going out for new years and I don't know if anything will fit. Keep going you will lose the pounds again. The season only lasts a short time. Enjoy.

OH NO! (the fall!) hahaha :D Well -- I have a party this weekend again, and it's going to be my cheat meal again. But I went a little breakfast crazy this morning so I've got to be pretty careful the rest of today not to go too far over. I've pretty much accepted I'll go over, but my calorie range right now adjusted itself too low I think, so I'm not worried about being a little over. :P
