    Sorry to hear that you're feeling depressed. Remember this is a journey - you don't need to take an 'all or nothing' approach. We all have good and bad days/weeks/months but what makes us special is that we get back up and keep trying. I was starting to go down the same path in november - I found that once I started to got myself back in gear doing some exercise I immediately felt better and more motivated to get myself off the couch the next time and eat better. You are not a failure and I'm glad to see that you're back on here because it shows a real commitment to your health. You're worth it!
    I think it's exciting to hear that you've applied for Biggest Loser. That would be an amazing opportunity! Keep us posted on how that goes.
    I've had trouble getting into the christmas spirit this year too. You already have more decorations than I do. Remember that christmas isn't all about how much money you spend on gifts. Some of the best gifts are spending time with people doing a nice activity or something that you make yourself (crafts, meals etc).

    Hi Amanda! So glad to see that you are back. Trying to eat healthy is so hard..I struggle so much too. What I have started doing as far as goals is focusing on losing 8 pounds a week..So far, so good this month. I have 4 more pounds to go! I find this is easier than trying to lose a certain amount a week, and then being down when it doesn't happen. I got this idea from a spark friend (thanks sissy). Also, about the sodas...I have given them up too..I have slipped up a bit when I go out to eat, but for the most part they are history. We are not perfect, we are going to make mistakes...But what will get us to our goals is getting right back on track after a little slip up.

    I know sometimes it's really easy to get down. Try things like asking questions like: what do I like about myself? What have I done today to make myself proud? Even if those things are really small, they can help a lot. You can do this, I promise. Power through it, go get some healthy shopping and achieve your dreams! Little steps at a time. Make sure you don't self-criticise too much. You have to find things to replace those little things you like ( like Coke! ).
    AWESOME for applying for the Biggest Loser!!! That's a really big step to take. Your mind is really in this, don't let your slips get you down, let them encourage you to push harder (but with a smile!).
    Also, for christmas, shopping around and getting busy will help to get you doing things outside the house and make you nice and active!
