Initiative is power

Thursday, December 10, 2009

I decided yesterday to start taking eating right seriously! I use SparkPeople occasionally to count calories and water intake but I really took it to heart. I watched what I ate and I walked the stairs twice in my building and I lost 2 pounds. I felt so proud of myself, which is rare, that I've decided to try and stay on track, even on the weekends, which is very hard for me. I'm going to give it 200% for at least 90 days and if the progress is substantial I think that's what my brain will need to continue.

emoticon Measurable goals/results really, really help when quitting becomes a temptation. I've started making 30-day goals because my easily-sidetracked brain can't seem to handle more than 30 days without losing interest. The key is finding a time frame and goal that works for're on your way!
