...and so Winter begins...

Just as I get the (snow)ball rolling...hoping it will gain momentum and get real big like it is chasing Wiley E. Coyote down the hill...winter in Iowa puts a little damper on it.

Finally got back in the weight room this morning and planned on going back to the gym tonight for some cardio work (only live like a 3 minute drive). By the time my wife got home from work and could take Son Duty, the roads are not advised to be traveled on as we get the first snow storm of the year.

I'm a little bummed I didn't get in to do that today. I dunno, maybe I can find an exercise DVD around here somewhere and dust it off...I really don't do well with those though. At least I got there this morning.

What I really worry about it not being able to get there tomorrow. Temps are supposed to drop reeeal low and we may see as much as 10 more inches of snow overnight. I guess I will tackle that in the morning.

Something else that went right today. I entered all my eating in the food tracker today, first time I have managed that. There sure is a satisfaction you get from doing that. I ate when and what I was supposed to day and I'm not hungry. Still have 140 calories below my high...coolness.

    Thanks for the comments kids!

Pickie, I'm right on the Mississippi bordering Wisconsin and Illinois. I don't think we got it as bad as in the west of us, but enough for today to be the second day of school canceled.

Christie I drove back from Door County north of Green Bay last summer and I didn't like it...I could imagine with bad weather!

I did make it to the gym yesterday. I walked it (about 20 minutes) without problem. The vehicle was snowed in.

way to go on tracking your food! My bf and I were in green bay for the packers game last night and drove back here to iowa today--took us 7.5 hrs and the roads were HORRIBLE!! So glad to be back home and not have to go anywhere in this crappy weather!
