I am so angry that is winter time. I am not a winter person at all. I especially feel angry because I can't get my run/walk on as much as I want to. I live up in the mountains so you know that we get more snow than others who live in the city and the snow stays on the ground longer. I just purchased some new winter work out clothes just so I can do my run/walk in the cold. I really don't like this. Once the snow hits the ground I am not able to do it at all...Sigh. emoticon. I know I can do my workouts in the house or at the gym but I got so use to doing my run/walk and I love it that I don't even want to do anything else. Ok I'll try to get over it and try to get some type of excercise in during those real wintery days. Maybe I'll get back into my Wii that's always fun, but I don't want fun I need to seriously do my thing. ok...ok ....ok. I'll do it. emoticon

    Ack... I'm right there with you too. Winter gets harder and harder every year. I got used to walking outside too. Yes, I have a treadmill, yes, I could walk on it. But it's not the same! It needs a new belt and I have put it off and put it off because I want to be OUTSIDE! I keep making excuses about not walking outside too, like it isn't really the snow and cold, it's the fact that people don't clear their walks, so you have to either walk in the street or slog through 8 inches of snow and ice..... on and on and on.... *sigh* one excuse after another. I want spring!! Sheesh, it's only early January and we're b*tching about winter already? Boy, this is gonna be a long one!

    I'm right there with ya..I hate winter!!!!!!!!!! It makes me crabby. I hate that my fingers go numb..I hate that I have to put on all my gear just to go out to get the newspaper..I hate that my feet are permanently cold..and I hate that I'm so negative about it!! Ha! My daughter has one more year of highschool, and I'm seriously thinking of moving south when she goes on to college. I have 3 daughters in Chicago..don't want to go there..and another daughter in Colorado..don't want to go there. And still another who is here in!!! Maybe I'll move someplace warm, and they can all come visit... emoticon

    We are about to get hit with a snow storm in Michigan and I'm thinking of alternate ways to get my workout in. I'm not letting this cold weather derail me. I love going to the gym to workout but as this bad weather is approaching I loathe the thought of coming outside sweaty and cold! So on the bad days I'll stay home and workout indoors! The main thing is getting the workout in...somehow! We've got goals to reach here! Beautiful pic btw.

    I wish I was mad about running in any wish I ran for that matter...that is a beautiful picture but I can definitely understand why you're mad...whatever you decide to do, I'm sure you'll make it work!!!!!!!

    I feel your pain. I don't live in a place that will ever have that much snow but that trail looks a little too slippery to run. Indoor workouts might be your best bet. You can't let the winter weather derail you off your healthy living, it will be here for 3 months!

    You need to embrace the winter! Be a kid again. Building snowmen, having snowball fights, making snow angels. Find some snowshoes or cross country skis. After a short time, you won't even notice the chill in the air. And you will use muscles in different ways. The photo is absolutely beautiful. emoticon

    You're better than me to get out there when it's cold. Find some great workouts you like for indoors.

    The winter slows me down to and I have been challenging myself to still manage to get my workouts in but it has not been as easy since the cooler weather. We both have to try different things and hope that we can enjoy them like our Wii's, gym, and workout videos when we can't go out.

    I know you can and will do it and I am here for the support.
