My church has long worship services, usually about 45 minutes. Then we stand at other times also. I usually sit most of the time. Today I thought, "why sit?, I am going to the gym to strengthen my legs and I will stand as long as I can. Well, I stood the 45 minutes of worship and then the other times we were asked to stand I was one of the first up. I would say it is good to be fanatic about the gym. Even though I look like I am standing still sometimes in comparison to some of the young ones and people who have exercised longer I am building up my strength.
RIVERMAC if you come back to my page I will give you a few ideas. First you have not created a Spark page so I could not contact you. You need to create a spark page and read everything Spark sends you. Also join some teams that have much in common with you. You said you have so much to lose. Don't think of the big sum you need to lose but know you lose it one pound at a time just like you put it on. Watch out for your portions, fried foods, sugary drinks and other sugary desserts, white carbs and if you can exercise. Find something you can do. If you can walk it is a wonderful way to start, if not try the standing or sitting exercises or the rubber band exercises. I know there are more on here that know a lot more than I do but since you wrote on my blog post and you have no page I thought I would try contacting you this way. Go for it. You can lose. Irene, so true, if we are going to exercise to be better fit and watch what we eat, we should take all opportunities we can Stand we should! Walk whenever and where ever possible. Have a great day. A lot of things we can do to increase activity. Like John said take the stairs. I always look for the parking place nearest the door and even have handicap plates. Today when I went to a meeting I parked just about as far as I could get from the door. I'm not saying it is easy but I am building up my strength little by little. Irene 4099 days ago
