So many excuses

I'm pigging out during the holiday season, and I don't think it's just because I'm being faced with temptation. I think the biggest reason is that my husband and I aren't on track for home cooking.

We took an awesome trip to China at the beginning of November but then we came back and were jet-lagged so it was hard to cook and we let ourselves eat out more because we were 'recovering'. Then work was busy because we had to play catch up from our vacation, so we still never got on track. Last weekend we went away and this weekend we hosted the office Christmas party. Another reason we're playing catch-up and can't get on track.

But grocery shopping isn't that time consuming, and we already have a lot of recipes for good, healthy, quick meals. And it's so much easier to cope with all these extra stresses when I eat healthy and go to bed early. So I realize this, now here's hoping I can put it into practice. Tomorrow - to the grocery store!

I hear you! Been there, done that. It took me a while to get back on track from spending 4 months at home in the USA after I got back overseas in October. I'm back on track and seeing a tiny bit of progress.
    You CAN do it.
