Sometimes I concentrate on where I want to be in terms of fitness goals. But I just realized that over the course of 5-6 years, I've lost 25 lbs. I feel that my weight now is my new and normal weight. But wow, 25 lbs... that's crazy for me to think about. Another cool thing is I'm able to maintain my weight by simply listening to my body and eating healthy. BUT, in order to get to where I wanna be, I have to pay extra close attention to my nutrition and count calories, it's not fun, but I definitely learn a lot by doing it. There are some days where I mess up and eat close to 4,000 calories... BUT tracking it keeps me accountable. I simply say, "WOW, perhaps next time I should stop at 2 cookies instead of eating 10, and have 1 drink instead of 3 drinks." I really want to reach my goal, so I'm going to continue tracking!! ; ) ALSO, on those days after I mess up, sometimes I purposely include cookies into my calorie intake so I can let me body realize how much more enjoyable treats are when I eat them in moderation than in excess :)
