How do you make strength training a routine?

I'm hoping people can give me some ideas about how they made strength training part of their routine. I have been really struggling with doing strength training consistently enough to yield any results. It's not that I don't like to do it, in fact, I don't mind it at all. I think the problem for me is that, because I don't do it every day, it's hard to make it part of my daily habit like my morning walks with a buddy. By the time I remember I am supposed to do it, it's usually too late (close to bedtime).
So, fellow Sparkers, I'd love to hear your creative suggestions on how you make it part of your routine (or how you think I can get into a good habit with this thing I am not supposed to do every day).
