Waiting for the Blizzard of 2009...

Friday, December 04, 2009

Blizzard? Okay, slight exaggeration. We're expecting about an inch, but for here, that is a lot! I feel like I'm expecting one (a blizzard), though. I've hunkered down at home, and happy to be here.

I went to TOPS this morning. I was positive that I had a loss. I had a turtle. I was a little frustrated, but overall it's okay. I'll just have to exercise a little bit more this week. I'm thinking about changing my goal weight. Right now it is 175, but that would still leave my BMI in the "overweight" category. A former doctor of mine gave me that goal about 12 years ago. I'm going to talk to my doctor about it. I don't want to be in the overweight category! I'm thinking maybe 170, but I'll have to see if that is enough to get me into the "normal" range. I've come this far and I don't want to just stop short of being normal (ha ha). I just don't know when I might be able to get in to see the doctor. I'm going to call this afternoon. My annual physical is scheduled in February, but I don't want to wait that long.

I'm going to relax this afternoon, maybe watch some tv, drink some hot chocolate (yum!), maybe play a little bit of my Sims, maybe take a nap, maybe do this, maybe do that... I'm going to do whatever I feel like doing at that particular moment. I looooove days like this. I don't have a lot of them, so I'm going to enjoy the heck out of it! But I will get on the treadmill later.

Oh, almost forgot. On my way home from TOPS, I stopped at the newly rennovated YMCA of Williamson County (in Round Rock) and picked up an application form and a financial assistance form. I want to start going and I want to take some of their classes (spinning, step, etc.) I'm sure it will be quite comedic and I'll have to make a few modifications with my arthritis, but I think it will be fun. Basically, I will suck. But I'll be having fun. So that is good enough for me. And I don't really care what anyone else thinks anyway. So filling out the forms are also on my To Do list for today, but I'll probably get them done over the weekend to turn in on Monday. The queen of procrastination! For today, that is fine with me!

I hope everyone who has decided to stick out reading this blog to the end (and you're probably wondering when it is going to end!) has a great weekend. There was a time when I thought I'd never be able to say this, but: Life is Good!

'Til next time!

***UPDATE: NO SNOW. NOTHING. NADA. ZILCH. I am not happy at all about this. Evidentally it is going more south towards Houston (expecting 3 inches). I'd say that Houston gets all the excitement, but I can do without the hurricanes... We just get tornados. I WANTED SNOW!!! I'm still going to do everything as planned. I'll show them (don't ask me who I'm going to show. I have no idea!)

When that blizzard hits, could you please send it to the northeast? I'm waiting for snow so I can ride the snow mobiles with my hubby and son! So far we have too much green showing on the

Great job on stopping at the Y for information. I love Zumba so if they offer that, try a class. I do the low impact version.
