“In everyone's life, at some time, our inner fire goes out. It is then burst into flame by an encounter with another human being. We should all be thankful for those people who rekindle the inner spirit.”

December is finally here the last month of the year but one of many with great expectations. Over the past months that I have been on SparkPeople I have met and encounter friends that have provided me with the support and motivation that I needed to keep moving forward when I felt like giving up on myself. This is the first year “2009” in which I have went out in search to make a difference in my life health wise and have accomplished it with flying colors. This year along I have lost 60+ pounds and still working hard to achieve more, along with also freeing myself of my diabetes medicine, which is a huge blessing.

For the month of December I am aiming to achieve goal to continue the success that I have accomplished so far this year and ways of keeping this success, motivation and determination moving thus far.

December Goals:

emoticon Lose an additional 10 lbs before year end (if I don’t make it I am still happy with my accomplishments thus far 60+ pounds)

emoticonWorkout at least 5 times a week (hopefully 6 or 7 times…combination of cardio and strength training)

emoticon Create at least on blog a week to recap my pros and cons of the week. ( away of holding myself accountable and finding ways to improve or things that I need to keep doing to continue my success)

emoticon Drink at least 96oz of water a day. (I have been doing poorly with my water intake although I know it is essential to weight loss and healthy living)

emoticon Visit my Spark’s friend’s pages/blogs and provide them with feedback, support, and motivations. (Being active with this site and the individuals/groups have been a big help to my continuous success…and when I start lacking participation I can see the difference)

emoticon Tis the season to be jolly…remain mindful of the things I put in my body and set limits on what I eat (the month of December is usually one of my most busiest months with shopping, parties/celebrations, and other end of the year accomplishments…I tend to get lazy with my health and exercise because I let other things occupy a lot of my time)

emoticon …Finally and the most important of them all continue to love myself and the skin I’m in unconditionally and butting myself first and others after!!!

Ending the year with a BLAST...

    awesome blog! I was just journaling today about how this is the last month of 2009 already and that I intend to finish the year with a bang! :) I had a baby this January, and I've lost it all and then some! I've come a long way, and I have other goals too!

    Keep up the good work, and thanks for the motivation!
