A litle update:
The company I started working for letme go. Ok. I wasn't so convinced by them and all but I thought it would go forwrd all the same for 6 month contract. With having worked for them as a lifeguard during the summer, then being brought into the company as a sales and marketing guy (in my "previous life" I was a business consultant and rep) and helping them with increasing their brand image and name recognition through their parteciption in a big local event for a few weeks in October (La Barcolana), then waiting and going into he office most days and negotiating and dealing with them for a month before we hammered out contract, they decided to let me go, let's see, one hour after we signed the fringe benefit agreement for the rented company car!?!
Wow. That was strange or maybe not s strange, as I had been using it for the previous 12 days. And, in this way, they apparently tried to get me to pay for a month of the car by saying - "Ok. As we have to pay for a month of the car, we will debit you your part for a month, too" eventhough I returned the car to them the moment they asked for it back (Monday) after they decided to break the contract.
Well yesterday, after returning to them their Blackberry, notebook and so on, they, in the end, told me about how they were going to debit me the cost for 20 days of the car (this is of course after they don't want to reimburse me my small expenses for them, three weeks work and so on :-( This is ofcourse AFTER they returned the car to the company that leased them the car!!!
So, this is an example for how they act: they figure they lost money with me so they try to get me to cover THEIR losses .... and my losses???!!!!
Well what's that saying: "What's good for the goose is good for the gander"?! :D
Oh well. It looks like I go to a worker's union representative here and find out what to do.
As I have only been an employee for a few months of my life this year, after a 22 year hiatus, as I was aways an external consultant or whatever, I NEVER thought that I would have a Union representative

at least I can go to someone and get some help and the help is free too

I was all too used to the fact that companies tried often not to pay for services rendered and to have me work without a contract that not being paid as promised was something I was all too used too in the past
I will become a member for 30 days (45 USD a year) - it seems only right..... and, we shall see what happens. I certainly don't think that it will all be in my favor and I'm perfect or something like that but there sure are limits to what one can accept.... they went WAY OVER a reasonable limit!
So, now unemployed again, now short - really short - on money again, what do I do???

I GO SKIING!
Sounds obvious, no? It's winter, now snow is faing, it's all too cold, etc. etc. etc.
Now before you close my blog, the trip is almost free. I already bought a pair of used boots, skiis and bindings at a fraction of their price, and I already have enough cloths for the mountains to not have me buy almost anything.... we go to the mountains to my girlfriend's holiday apartment thee (in a place called Canazei, in the Val di Fassa, just West of Cortina d'Ampezzo in the Italian Alps) .......
I'l finish this laer
